A producer for HBO’s “Wife” is joining the streaming service to helm a new series.
Miguel Garcia Bernal will serve as executive producer on “The Wife,” a limited series about the life of a married couple who, when they moved to the suburbs of Los Angeles in the early 1990s, decided to sell their house and move to New York.
The project will be based on the real life story of the couple, who also own a small business and live in an apartment complex, according to the show’s official website.
The title will be “the only time we will be in a home together,” Garcia Bernan said in a statement.
“We are very excited about this new project and looking forward to sharing it with our fans.”
He will be joined by his wife, the executive producer of “Wifes” and the showrunners of “The Night Of.”
“We are excited about our upcoming Netflix series, The Wife,” said Jeffrey Seller, HBO’s vice president of original programming.
“Migual is a man of integrity and passion, and we are looking forward for his input and involvement in bringing this story to life.”
The show will air exclusively on HBO.
